Richard’s qualifications extend from Marceau Evans Johnson Architects a firm he co-founded in 1993. Richard brought to the firm his experience with Arthur Erickson Architects’ Vancouver office, where he was an Intern Architect from 1986 to 1991; and, project management experience with the Department of Indian Affairs where he was project architect from 1991 to 1993.  Richard also has hands-on construction experience, having completed two years of a four-year carpentry apprentice program.  With Evans Architecture, Richard continues to pursue his strong interest in developing culturally relevant projects, developed in close co-operation with users.

Richard Vallee has a depth of professional, community and business experience. He has been a partner in the Courtyard Architects as well as a successful retail business. In addition to a strong design experience Richard has a technical background, which includes expertise in environmental (LEED) and building envelope aspects of architecture. Richard Vallee is involved in various community activities ranging from the replanning of False Creek South, remediating the building envelope in False Creek Housing Co-op as well as participation on the New Westminster design panel.

Danielle has been working in the interior designer field since 2009 and has experience in the planning, design, documentation and management of hospitality and residential projects. She is skilled at taking projects from concept through to completion, managing consultant relations, and construction site coordination. Danielle is involved in all aspects of the design process from concept development to contract administration.

Claire Wood brings a wide range of experience to our team. From working on installations at numerous galleries to project managing building renovations, Claire's skill set involves taking projects from initial concepts to completion. She has over 10 years experience working in the industry.

Aleks joined Evans Architecture earlier this year as an Intern Architect with experience in interaction design and graphic design. So far her experience at Evans Architecture has consisted of working on pre-design documentation and feasibility studies. Aleks believes in following user-centered research methods and processes in truly designing honest architecture that is rational, practical and intuitive for its users.
